On 10 July 2018, the Palestinian partners started the first part of training activities of WP2.6 entitled “Incubation and Acceleration processes and systems” in framework of Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project “Boosting Innovation in Curricula Development of Information Technology programs in Palestine (BITPAL)”.
Participants from University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), Al-Azhar University (AUG), Al-Aqsa University (AQU), Gaza University (GU), and representatives of Palestinian incubators in Gaza attended the training sessions.
Dr. Kholoud Elbatsh (GU), coordinator of TS3 first part, mentioned the importance of the topics discussed in all sessions that focused on the new incubation trends, which are:
- On 10 July 2018, the first session entitled “Setting Up Virtual Incubation Services” presented by Eng. Tariq Thabit from UCAS Technology Incubator.
- On 11 July 2018, the second session entitled “Creating behavior change through value chain projects” presented by Dr. Ibrahim Sokar from GU.
- On 14 July 2018, the third session entitled “Innovation Ecosystem Development” presented by Eng. Basel Qandeel from Business and Technology Incubator in IUG.
- On 15 July 2018, the fourth session entitled “Technology Commercialization through Incubation” presented by Mr. Yaser Salha from AQU.
Dr. Elbatsh appreciated the speakers’ efforts to achieve the goals of the training, and BITPAL project coordinator Dr. Ahmed Abdalaal thanked all partners for their attendance and invites them to participate in the next part that will start on 19 of July.
